A Cheater’s Spelling Bee

Round up your friends for the biggest test of your knowledge, memory and nerves of steel ever held in the Rockford area!

Not just any spelling bee, but one that is focused on adults (although kids are welcome too). And not just any spelling bee format, but one where you can purchase “cheats” to advance in the competition.

Come support your favorite team and have a great night out. We’ll supply some munchies and dessert throughout the night and attendees can pre-order dinner – or bring their own. Cash bar available.

Think you can’t spell?  There’s help:

Teams can purchase “Bee Bucks” that can then be used to purchase Cheats. What kind of cheats? Well, there’s “Invent a Word” and “Mulligan” and “30 Seconds with a Dictionary” and more!

Once your team gets registered, your friends and family can donate dollars toward the purchase of your Bee Bucks. All proceeds will support Family Counseling Services – a great nonprofit that has been serving Rockford since the 1880s!

Oh, and we want you to come up with a clever team name (or you can get your family business to sponsor your team entry fee and we’ll publicize that name) and even costumes – we’ll be awarding a special Best Costume Award!

Gather up your friends and family and register today. Teams can be anywhere from 2-6 people. Cost to enter is $200/team (includes dinner for the team).
